  • Origin: El Cielito-Santa Barbara
  • Farmer: Carlos Alberto Portillo
  • Altitude: 1450 masl
  • Varietal: Parainema, Geisha, Bourbon
  • Process: Washed
  • Tasting Notes: Winter Spice- Cranberry - Biscuit

Since the first time we cupped this coffee, we knew it would be a perfect winter brew, full of fruit notes, sweetness and spice aftertaste.

Carlos is a 3rd generation producer, working on the
family farm Don Pancho with his father when he was young. In 2021 they began to
prepare micro-lots for the first time, and the washed Parainema we tasted on
the table was outstanding.
Carlos has made the tough decision to emigrate to the United States to
continue funding the family’s coffee production, but hopes to save enough
money to return to work full-time on the farm.
With a juicy, sparkling acidity and a smooth round body, this coffee can grace
a single option or be a complex espresso.
