This is where it all happens. Unit 16, Bessemer Park, tucked into the kind of South London industrial estate that looks unremarkable from the outside and smells extraordinary the moment you walk in. Roasting coffee has a smell that's genuinely difficult to describe to someone who hasn't stood in a room with 20+ drums full of it at six in the morning. Rich, warm, slightly smoky and completely addictive. If you ever find yourself on Milkwood Road and catch it drifting out, that's us.
We've been here since 2021, and this unit is where Press Coffee found its identity properly, came of age let’s say, finally filled our boots. The smiley logo was born here, the culture grew here, and the craft was honed here. And through our contract roasting work, this building has helped grow more than twenty other coffee businesses from the same address. A lot happened in a relatively small space and time, We are not done yet, soon this humble abode will house the largest roaster we've ever operated.
Two fire breathing roasters, one obsession

The craft side of roasting is largely invisible to most coffee drinkers, which is fine, it should be. What matters is what ends up in the cup. But for anyone curious about what actually happens between green bean and your morning bag, here's the short version.
We run two roasters at Unit 16. The first is a Giesen W15k with a 15kg drum for smaller batch roasts, more precise profiles, and the prestige and experimental coffees that need a closer eye and a more controlled hand. The second is a W30 Giesen, a 30kg capacity drum, built for larger runs and the volume our bigger wholesale clients need without sacrificing consistency. Giesen are known for producing workhorses, perfect to keep up with our 7 day roast schedule. No warehoused stock sitting around losing freshness. When you order from Press, something gets roasted specifically for you, sounds like a recycled marketing line, but hey, it's just how we've always done it.
